Frogs Leg Operations
QUICK FACTS Shotcrete contract at Frogs Leg mine in Kalgoorlie finished in March 2016 The Frog's Leg mine, is located 20 km directly west of the city of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Gold was first discovered in this region in 1893 and since then has produced over 120million ounces of gold. Frogs Leg Operations lies within a tenement owned by the Mungari East Joint Venture (La Mancha 51%, Alacer Resources Ltd. 49%), operated by La Mancha. The Frog's Leg deposit is robust, and consistently returns strong exploration results. As a result of successful exploration campaigns and two upgrades to the mine plan, Frog's Leg has maintained a mine life of above five years since underground operations began. This far, we have sent the Frog's Leg ore to be toll milled, but with the expansion of our resources and sustained gold prices, we are now studying the economics of building a mill on site. The gold deposit at Frog's Leg was discovered in 1999. Stratacrete commenced its Shotcrete Operations at the Frogs Leg site in May 2012
In August 2012, Stratacrete commissioned the installation of a Transfield Batch plant on site. Transfield Batch Plant |
